Our Process
At Dee Fish quality and freshness is our priority. We only buy and smoke Grade A Scottish Farmed Salmon which we think is second to none. Wild Salmon which is also smoked, is caught by half-netters and stake nets locally on the rivers Nith and Dee. Wild salmon is only available in April and May, so please order early as the few available are quickly snapped up.
All our smoked products are traditionally Oak Smoked and free from artificial additives.
We also do a wide range of Fresh White Fish and Shellfish, which is also available mail order.
We have several trawlers, two of which are owned by Dee Fish, supplying our shops with Lobster, King and Queen Scallops, Dover Sole, Turbot Brill and much more ...
In 1999, 90% of our White Fish and Shellfish were exported to France, Italy and Spain. Although in the last 2-3 years, our sales of White Fish and Shellfish has increased by 30 %, we Brits seem to be taking the whole healthy option and are eating more fresh fish. In 2002 we only exported 65% of these products.
