About Dee Fish

Dee Fish is a family run business based in Castle Douglas, on the South West of Scotland. Between them the seven family members involved in the business have a wealth of experience in the fishing industry going back more than 20 years. Dee Fish employs over 30 local people providing much needed employment in this rural area.

Our two modern fishing trawlers, Still Waters and Fulmar supply our shops with a wide variety of sea stock including shellfish such as scallops and lobsters, prawns and a variety of white fish.

By processing our own catch we can guarantee quality, freshness and first class service which is our aim at all times. The catch goes straight from the trawler to our shop counters with at least one family member involved in each step from catching, to uplifting, processing, to selling over the counter. This also gives us the competitive edge on price.

The processing factory is built to a very high standard with our own smokehouse where all the Salmon, Trout and Haddock both hot and cold are smoked. Meat and game are also smoked here for a number of local butchers.

Dee Fish is a fast growing business with multiple shops and our secure online sales facility. Fish is delivered daily to local businesses and is despatched to our mail order and internet customers vacu packed via Royal Mail on a regular basis. Our own Smoked Scottish Salmon is a very popular purcahse as agift or foe that special occaision.
